eApps Hosting, a value-added provider of cloud hosting services, hosting over 15,000 domains in more than 125 countries, has deployed a new location for the company’s Platform as a Service (PaaS), featuring Jelastic. eApps now has a PaaS location in the New York area data center of Packet, a bare metal infrastructure and network services provider with a worldwide presence.

It’s the third PaaS location for eApps Hosting located in the New York area data center of bare metal infrastructure and network services provider, Packet. The new location, New York Metro (NYM), would be ideally situated for eApps’ cloud hosting services for the North American and European markets.

packet bare metal cloudPacket was selected by eApps after a comprehensive evaluation of the leading bare metal providers based primarily on rankings in four categories – performance, flexibility of server and network configuration, vendor responsiveness, and the value proposition. Packet scored the highest rating in all four categories, as well as in the sophistication of their global network.

eApps’s Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering runs on the Jelastic Platform-as-a-Service system, an advanced hosting platform designed for developers and system administrators. The Jelastic system, as deployed by eApps, provides a rich set of tools for Java, PHP, Ruby, Python, and Node.js developers, including IDE and code repository integration, and includes Docker support. For operations, the Jelastic Dashboard would provide access to complete real-time resource usage reporting, billing details, performance monitoring and alert administration, and offers auto-scaling, both vertically and horizontally.

The eApps PaaS, powered by Jelastic, is backed by an in-house 24/7 support department. The service offers free support, including ‘on-ramp’ assistance for those customers who need help while deploying their sites. The eApps PaaS, running on high performance servers, network, and SSD storage, is available now in the NYM location.
