Datapipe, a provider of managed cloud services for the enterprise, has been named a winner of Microsoft’s Most Innovative Data Platform Offering award. Presented at the 2017 Microsoft Cloud & Hosting Summit, the annual award recognizes the partner who saw a substantial consumption increase of Microsoft SQL Enterprise and provides their customers with a full suite of data services on Microsoft SQL Server.

SQL Server would offer users easier workload mobility between data centers, private clouds, and Microsoft Azure, which “benefits enterprises with mission-critical capabilities to achieve scale, security, availability, and high performance for data-heavy workloads.”

Datapipe was recognized with this year’s award due to the fact its SQL consumption has increased 20 percent year-over-year and the consumption of SQL Enterprise among its customers has grown nearly 70 percent year-over-year.

“With the ever-increasing amount of information organizations must store, we’ve seen an influx in demand for solutions that store data in a way that is both cost-effective and scalable,” said David Lucky, Datapipe Director of Product Management. “This recognition speaks to our best-of-breed data platform service offerings and the hybrid cloud database solutions Datapipe deploys to drive enterprise cloud-first strategies.”

Throughout the past year, Datapipe has increased its data platform service offerings. As a Microsoft Gold Data Center and Cloud Platform Partner, Datapipe has expertise in SQL Server, as well as deep database and data services experience.

“Datapipe continues to deliver flexible solutions that combine Microsoft technologies with its unique expertise and services,” said Aziz Benmalek, vice president, Worldwide Hosting and Cloud Services, Microsoft. “We congratulate Datapipe on this achievement and for the outstanding value it continues to provide for our mutual customers.”
