21Vianet Group, a carrier-neutral Internet data center services provider in China that also joined forces with IBM to bring IBM Bluemix to China, has signed a five-and-half-year cloud, data center, hosting, and managed services contract with BMW, one of the world’s leading automobile manufacturers.
By leveraging its “strong expertise and technology advantages” in data center and cloud computing, 21Vianet, along with Shanghai Connext Information Technology, will provide a “cutting-edge” turnkey solution to BMW, which includes hosting, equipment and management services, as well as private and hybrid cloud services, to support BMW’s strong capacity needs in China.
