3DS OUTSCALE Plans to Accelerate Its Global Public Cloud Expansion

French cloud computing pioneer 3DS OUTSCALE, a subsidiary of software solutions giant Dassault Systèmes, is intensifying its worldwide market-capture strategy. 3DS OUTSCALE has indicated its strong ambition to export the company’s public cloud offering outside the French boundaries.

The news comes just months after the company headed to Japan and launched its Asian hub, OUTSCALE K.K, which enabled the deployment of 3DS OUTSCALE’s public cloud services in three data centers in the Tokyo area.

3DS OUTSCALE’s desire for strong acceleration of its cloud services globally reflects the global public cloud market outlook. Spending on public cloud services is expected to account for 14.2% of global IT spending in 2024, according to a recent report by Gartner.

3DS OUTSCALE says it will ensure data sovereignty and security in each of its target markets by forming corporations in line with local rules in the countries where the firms are located. This would fulfill 3DS OUTSCALE’s promise of being a multi-local trusted cloud.

Cloud Orchestration, Compliance

With its ‘Trusted Cloud’ labelling, 3DS OUTSCALE relies on its “state-of-the-art” technology and its certifications which would meet the most stringent criteria.

3DS OUTSCALE has also developed TINA OS, its own orchestration platform, to provide total control over the cloud. The purpose of this software is to coordinate and automate all cloud resources.

“The adoption of cloud computing and the huge potential for the growth of the global market puts us in a strong position,” said David Chassan, Chief Strategy Officer at 3DS OUTSCALE. “We want to make 3DS OUTSCALE the reference in terms of sovereign and trusted cloud, for private or public organizations who want to ensure that their data is stored in complete security. Our internationalization proves that we are aware of the innovations that form our ecosystem today. This approach fosters the ambition to meet the needs of the markets addressed as well as possible, but also to identify the promising technologies of tomorrow.”

3DS OUTSCALE is a Dassault Systèmes’ cloud subsidiary that was founded in 2010. The history of Dassault Systèmes goes back 40 years while its revenues in 2020 were €4.5 billion. As a GAIA-X founding member, 3DS OUTSCALE is committed to providing highly secure cloud infrastructure services. The company was recently awarded the SecNumCloud qualification by the National Cybersecurity Agency of France.

The French firm is also dedicated to satisfying the most stringent compliance standards by having its organization and infrastructure validated by reputable third parties. 3DS OUTSCALE has its cloud services infrastructure fully certified for cloud security and information management in the cloud (ISO 27001-27017-27018), as well as health data hosting (HDH).
