A2 Hosting Unveils New Bare Metal Dedicated Server Solutions

Hosting services provider A2 Hosting, a company from Ann Arbor, Michigan, delivering its services worldwide, has announced the availability of its bare metal dedicated (BMD) servers in both managed and unmanaged plans. The new bare metal solutions leverage AMD EPYC processors and Intel Xeon processors along with NVMe SSDs.

Computational speed, RAM allocation, and storage performance all affect plan options. Notably, all A2 Hosting’s dedicated server plans are automatically deployed after payment, avoiding the provisioning delays that often occur when purchasing such web hosting services. These dedicated servers will first be offered at the company’s Michigan (US) data center, before being rolled out to the other of the company’s data centers across the world.

“Customers turn to dedicated server plans to maximize website performance accordingly and to eliminate any risk of noisy neighbor effects,” said Bryan Muthig, founder and CEO of A2 Hosting.

“Today’s data-driven business use cases are introducing heavier application workloads, putting greater demand on web hosting solutions. Customers turn to dedicated server plans to maximize website performance accordingly and to eliminate any risk of noisy neighbor effects,” said Bryan Muthig, founder and CEO of A2 Hosting. “SMBs should be able to benefit from inherent bare metal server advantages regardless of whether they have robust IT departments. We’ve made that achievable through our new dedicated web hosting service, ensuring the greatest ROI possible.”

The new bare metal dedicated hosting plans include benefits designed to support small- to medium-sized businesses. Performance optimization and various customization options are available, several of which are automatically managed by A2 Hosting such as speed optimization and security scans. Other key features would include:

  • Single-tenant machines
  • Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI)
  • No hypervisor/virtualization layer
  • Intel Xeon and AMD EPYC servers
  • DDR4 RAM with error correcting code (ECC)
  • Four Linux distribution options: CentOS, Debian, CloudLinux, Ubuntu
  • Non-volatile Memory Express (NVMe) SSDs (available on Turbo plans)
  • Advanced LightSpeed Server Caching (available on Turbo plans)
  • Auto-deployment upon purchase

Packaged in Standard and Turbo Tiers, the bare metal dedicated servers delivered by A2 Hosting are accessible via managed and unmanaged dedicated hosting plans designed to the needs of two distinct user types:

Managed Dedicated Server Hosting – Designed for enterprises and agencies with modest IT resources, allowing them to focus on their core business rather than infrastructure and inexperienced developers. For hardware access, the cPanel control panel is used. Managed plans come with a LiteSpeed web server software license and one of two Linux distributions: CentOS or CloudLinux. At checkout, users can choose to have root access.

Unmanaged Dedicated Server Hosting – Designed for experienced developers who are at ease working with hardware directly. The plans do not include cPanel or web server software, giving users a genuine blank slate to customize as they see fit. CentOS, Debian, and Ubuntu are among the Linux distribution options. At checkout, one can choose to have root access.
