ADVA Brings Ultra-Precise Timing to Open Servers

OSA SoftSync is a software tool developed by ADVA to assist network operators and organizations in delivering reliable and extremely precise network timing. The new method would make adding ADVA’s Oscilloquartz Precision Time Protocol (PTP) capabilities to open servers and network devices simple and affordable.

Customers may now simply move to accurate and dependable packet timing on any Linux machine. OSA SoftSync will be critical in a variety of industries, including 5G, financial trading, cloud computing, and internationally distributed data centers, to fulfill more severe timing requirements.

Applications Running on Open Servers

OSA SoftSync is a software PTP client that would provide ultra-reliable time for server-based applications. ADVA Oscilloquartz PTP technology, clock recovery methods, and Syncjack performance monitoring and assurance capabilities are all used. OSA SoftSync comes with multiple administration options, including telemetry streaming, a contemporary and user-friendly GUI, and ADVA’s Ensemble Sync Director, and can be deployed on any Linux distribution.

OSA SoftSync can reach nanosecond precision by using NIC hardware-based timestamping. By dynamically picking the most accurate synchronization source based on the best master clock method, it prevents timing source outages or loss of quality. OSA SoftSync is available to clients on a yearly subscription basis.
