ADVA Unveils New Traffic Grooming Solution to Reduce Metro Costs

ADVA’s new FSP 3000 OpenFabric1200 solution is now available. It is intended to assist network operators in significantly lowering metro expenses. Client services may be groomed into 400Gbit/s wavelengths using OTN-based technology, optimizing fiber capacity and providing cost-effective coherent networks.

The FSP 3000 OpenFabric Series’ newest member combines open 400Gbit/s pluggable coherent technology with OTN switching on a blade to boost wavelength efficiency. Without the use of extra adaptors, the open switchponder card may be attached to any network. The ADVA FSP 3000 OpenFabric1200 provides 1200Gbit/s interface capacity and supports Ethernet and OTN services from 10Gbit/s to 400Gbit/s, making it ideal for the 400Gbit/s era.

The ADVA FSP 3000 OpenFabric Series, which includes the new technology, is a series of switchponders designed for maximum openness, flexibility, and scale. The OpenFabric1200 combines open CFP2 pluggable coherent interfaces with OTN switching. The new card, which has Terabit capacity, is excellent for extracting greater value from existing metro infrastructure and updating outdated networks to the newest coherent pluggable technology. The FSP 3000 OpenFabric1200 may be used in a variety of modes, including ADM on a blade, DWDM muxponders, and OTN cross-connect.
