All-Flash Storage Vendor SolidFire Opens Asia-Pacific Headquarters in Singapore

SolidFire, an all-flash storage systems vendor, has announced international expansion into the Asia-Pacific region with the opening of a regional headquarters in Singapore. SolidFire’s regional office in Singapore will be led by Kris Day, the new Managing Director for Asia-Pacific.

all-flash-storageKris Day, an industry veteran with more than 10 years of experience in the storage industry both in the UK and Asia-Pacific, joined SolidFire in January 2014. Previously, he worked for a variety of companies among which HP and EMC.

Our expansion into Asia and our growing European presence allows us to quickly respond to growing product demand in these regions.”

EMEA staff expansion

SolidFire has also expanded its EMEA team with the appointment of storage industry veteran Ian Cooper. Based in the UK, Cooper serves as SolidFire’s EMEA Director of Partnerships and Channel, focusing on expanding the company’s presence across the EMEA region.

SolidFire’s Asia-Pacific and EMEA staff expansion follows a year of major company growth, including strategic partnerships with VMware, OpenStack and Citrix, along with customer wins that continue to demonstrate broad adoption and application of its all-flash arrays. In addition to its international sales leadership, SolidFire also continues to vigorously expand system engineering and technical support teams across all regions.
