AMAX and CoolIT Systems have collaborated to offer customized thermal management solutions to meet the scalable needs of high-density computing products through optimized data center energy efficiency. Among others, two major deliverables of these solutions are “cost-reduction and operational stability” in high-throughput processes.

AMAX provides manufacturing, engineering, and integration solutions for server appliances and rack-level HPC in the data center environment. Based on customers’ feedback the company realized that the conservative cooling solutions needed immediate upgrading and customization to align well with the heavy computing power demands of modern-age applications. To achieve this objective, AMAX chose CoolIT system as the partner due to its great achievements and relevant industry experience.

The two companies worked jointly to develop a strategic cooling solution that merges key features of a rack rear door heat exchanger and liquid cooling cold plate system designed for use with 2U four-node high-density servers. This tactical architecture would enable data centers to set up an entire server rack “capturing 80% of heat” which is subsequently transferred to an appliance while also bringing fan speed to half.
