Atos, a globally operating ICT services company with about 100,000 employees in 72 countries, has expanded its expertise in Big Data services with the acquisition of zData – a provider of Big Data consulting and solutions.
The zData team has years of experience designing applications, systems, and software involving solutions for data analytics, sentiment analysis, high volume search engine applications, web crawlers, log collection systems and highly scalable applications.
Atos has signed a share purchase agreement with zData, bringing a “unique” team of software engineers and data scientists to support its customers’ digital transformation journey within all sectors. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
zData’s team of experts and innovative capabilities fully align to its Big Data and Atos Codex expansion strategy notably in the U.S. Atos Codex would offer organizations fast and cost efficient means to exploit the value of their existing data combined with external data.
