Global ‘digital transformation’ leader Atos, a company with over 110,000 employees in 73 countries and annual revenue of over EUR 11 billion, has opened a new office in Wuhan, China, which will be the headquarters for Atos Cloud Computing – a recently-formed joint venture between Atos and fund investors Sequoia Capital China and CBC Capital, and a part of Atos in China.
At the opening ceremony, Atos APAC CEO and Atos Cloud Computing Chairman, Herbie Leung, highlighted the importance of establishing the new joint venture for Atos in its mission to accompany clients on their digital transformation journey throughout the APAC region.

“As we enter the post-cloud era of industry platforms, data insights and servitization, cloud is a foundation that enables everything,” said Herbie Leung, CEO of Atos APAC and Chairman of Atos Cloud Computing. “Tomorrow’s digital business will be intelligent, scalable, and open to wider ecosystems with an increased need for highly secure solutions. With a strong team of digital and cybersecurity experts, our new Atos Cloud Computing venture in China is helping clients capture new opportunities, reduce risks, and realize greater business value.”
The new office is located in the newly constructed Cybersecurity Building adjacent to China’s National Network Security Base at the heart of what is commonly referred to as Wuhan’s ‘Data Valley’. Access to “highly secure, scalable network and private data storage infrastructure” was a key consideration for Atos during office location selection in China. Abundant infrastructure resources combined with China market licensing enable Atos Cloud Computing to bring its cloud and data center services to a diverse multinational and local client base in China.”
