The Australian Securities Exchange ASX has picked Arista Networks (NYSE:ANET) to develop a new cognitive campus networking environment. In addition to two large buildings in Sydney, the new network will also offer connection for ASX personnel in Melbourne and Perth. The new network will be constructed on the Arista 720XP series switching platform.
Arista’s low latency 7130 platform is used by ASX for high-frequency trading and FPGA applications, as well as Arista’s EOS (Extensible Operating System) and CloudVision software for network-wide management, workload orchestration, and workflow automation.
ASX and Arista Networks have had a long-standing relationship for more than a decade. To monitor and manage the network, the Arista CloudVision platform offers ASX with a single, real-time view across all devices.

This series of Layer 1+ Arista switches is designed for ultra-low latency and offers a wide range of management functions. Featuring 16, 48, or 96 ports, they offer a variety of network functions on a single device:
