AWS Direct Connect Now Available in Cologix’s Data Center in Columbus

Customers in the Midwest planning to build hybrid cloud deployments with Amazon’s Web Services (AWS) cloud just found an easier route to do so via Cologix’s data center in Columbus, Ohio. With AWS Direct Connect now available at the Cologix data center in Columbus, customers can connect their infrastructure via a secured and private connection to the AWS Cloud.

“The AWS Cloud node is another proof point cementing Columbus as a vital interconnect market,” said Grant van Rooyen, president and CEO of Cologix. “Accessing the lowest latency option to AWS through our data center is a significant advantage for customers and with our new data center coming on line soon we look forward to supporting the local demand.”

Cologix recently announced a new 160K square feet, 18+MW enterprise-grade data center build on its 8-acre campus. The new $130M+ facility will become one of the largest and most advanced colocation data centers in the Columbus, Ohio region and will be directly linked to Cologix‘s existing data centers.
