Capacity Threshold Monitoring is a simple way of ensuring you are getting the most from your servers.
By consulting with your technical team, you can discuss at which point you would like to set up an alert system.
Although your CTM alerts may be fully customised, we would always recommend setting your CTM alert at a relatively low capacity point.
This should ensure that you do not discover that your server is overstretched at the last minute. Instead you should have plenty of time to alter your solution to rectify the situation before you start experiencing problems.
At UKFast we set our own CTM monitoring alerts at around 50% to ensure we get maximum performance from our servers and do not run into any problems.
