The 2022 Bluehost Creators Awards competition has begun. The awards hosted by web hosting provider Bluehost, a company specializing in WordPress, aim to recognize and honor the talent and work of creators from a variety of backgrounds. These include entrepreneurs, bloggers, self-taught artists, and students, as well as creative professionals like web developers and designers, and also digital marketing agencies that work with enterprises.
Submissions of WordPress-powered websites, online apps, blogs, themes, and plugins from the previous year are welcome. Twenty candidates from the global entries will be selected as the top WordPress creators, divided into two groups: Creative Web Professionals (web designers and developers) and Self Creators (small business owners, bloggers, students).
A group of top-tier WordPress design and development specialists from the industry will judge the submissions. On the basis of innovation, creativity, and the submission’s user experience, all entries will be evaluated and judged.
The jury is made up of important figures from the WordPress community, including Rich Tabor, the head of product at Extendify, Shawn Hesketh, the founder of 101Videos, Jen Miller, Maziar Firuzmand, the CMO and co-founder of Artbees, and others like Carrie Dils, Tracy Apps, Mary Baum, Anthony Ferrara, Carol Stambaugh, Winstina Hughes, Yogesh Londhe, and Alexander Gounder.
Cash Awards of Up to $2,000
Final winners will be revealed in November 2022, and the entry period will run from now through August 16, 2022. The winners will also receive media coverage and publicity, cash awards of up to $2,000, and a one-year Shared Basic Hosting Plan.
“This year, digitalization has continued to transform our world, driven by incredible and innovative WordPress creators and professionals,” said Paula Drum, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Newfold Digital, parent company of Bluehost. “These awards are a way for us to come together and recognize those who have created websites, projects or tools on WordPress this past year – for them to share their stories – so that we can celebrate and reward their success and inspire other member of this influential community.”
Now in its second year, the Bluehost Creators Awards honor the best WordPress developers who are breaking new ground with their ingenuity, innovation, and concepts that are future-proof. Today, one-third of all websites would use WordPress as their content management system, and Bluehost has been one of WordPress.org’s top providers since 2005.
