Blumira’s New Cloud Connectors Reduce Time it Takes to Deploy Cloud Security

“Blumira’s platform shines a spotlight on security issues we normally would not see - we would love to get it deployed to 100% of our client base,” said Adam Thomas, Director of Cybersecurity, Path Forward IT, a Blumira partner.

Provider of automated threat detection and response technology, Blumira, has announced the availability of its Cloud Connectors. This new feature ingests log data directly from third-party APIs for quick and easy integration of Blumira’s platform with Microsoft 365, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Duo Security.

“The time from a threat actor’s initial compromise of an environment to the distribution of ransomware is getting much shorter,” said Matt Warner, Co-Founder CTO of Blumira.

Organizations can receive insight into critical security risks faster than ever before using Cloud Connectors, decreasing the usual time to insight from 1-3 months to 5-15 minutes. This would reduce the danger of a data breach, resulting in fewer company disruptions and unanticipated expenditures.

“Blumira’s platform shines a spotlight on security issues we normally would not see – we would love to get it deployed to 100% of our client base,” said Adam Thomas, Director of Cybersecurity, Path Forward IT, a Blumira partner. “As a managed service provider juggling both security and IT, we’re excited to leverage Cloud Connectors to make customer setup even faster and easier for our team.”

Cloud SIEM Platform

ra created Cloud Connectors to decrease the complexity and time to security for small and medium-sized businesses. IT companies can now link Blumira’s cloud SIEM platform directly to their cloud apps to gain security insights in minutes using out-of-the-box, pre-tuned detections.

Once connected, Blumira collects log data from clients’ cloud apps, analyzes it, and warns businesses of symptoms of an ongoing assault – as well as next actions for quick reaction.

“The time from a threat actor’s initial compromise of an environment to the distribution of ransomware is getting much shorter,” said Matt Warner, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Blumira. “Cloud Connectors help users stay ahead of the curve by rapidly accelerating time to security, offering the ability to detect and contain threats early enough to prevent widespread damage.”

Blumira recently revealed that a simple Javascript WebSocket connection may initiate a local Log4j remote code attack through a drive-by compromise.
