C7 Data Centers, a provider of data center colocation, cloud and IT services, has announced new CenturyLink fiber connectivity into two C7 primary data centers located in Bluffdale, Utah on its five-building Granite Point campus. These two data centers are now directly connected to CenturyLink’s 250,000-route-mile U.S. fiber network and a 300,000-route-mile international transport network.
With fiber built into the data center’s telco/meet-me rooms, C7 customers can use MPLS (multiprotocol label switching), optical wave services, Ethernet and/or other IP services to access CenturyLink’s “low-latency” network.
Connection speeds range from 100 Mbps up to 100 Gbps with direct fiber connections from the C7 Granite Point campus to a CenturyLink Point of Presence. Local-loop access charges are eliminated for the customer.

Business customers can now more easily access other C7 and CenturyLink solutions over fiber, including the CenturyLink Cloud platform, other cloud platforms offered by C7 Data Centers and CenturyLink offerings. These offerings include big data analytics, business continuity and disaster recovery services, managed hosting and data systems management.
CenturyLink’s presence at Granite Point is also a gateway for businesses to connect with the many on-net CenturyLink data centers, service providers and business locations, enabling customers to implement a hybrid IT strategy.
