Last week, global CDN technology provider CDN77 has deployed a Point of Presence in Zurich, Switzerland. This CDN network PoP is meant to contribute to a smoother CDN77 end user experience not only in Switzerland but also in surrounding countries, mainly the DACH region.
CDN77 has added and automatically enabled the Zurich PoP in their CDN Control Panel. The CDN provider has planned ongoing expansion of their CDN network PoPs throughout the world.
CDN77 currently operates 34 PoPs in data centers globally, on four continents.
Its network has a capacity of 14Tbps. All data centers in CDN77’s network of facilities have 100GE port connections to multiple transit providers, while each server in this network is equipped with at least a 4 x 10G uplink. CDN77 uses the newest SSD-powered hardware to achieve maximum network performance and reliability. Headquartered in the UK, CDN77 employs more than 80 people.
