Global cybersecurity solutions provider, Check Point Software Technologies, is extending its multi-cloud support through the integration of Check Point CloudGuard with Alibaba Cloud.
According to Gartner, 81 percent of businesses utilize a multi-cloud approach to allow them to choose the optimal cloud for their task. Organizations would demand visibility and ease of administration in order to maximize security in such an environment.
Through Check Point’s integration of its CloudGuard solution with Alibaba Cloud, clients of Alibaba Cloud would benefit from improved cloud network security and posture management, while other businesses will be able to use Alibaba Cloud in their multi-cloud settings.
“Alibaba Cloud is pleased that Check Point Software has expanded its cloud support by integrating with us,” said Hong Choing, Head of Global ISV Ecosystem and Strategic Alliances, Alibaba Cloud Intelligence.
“This collaboration will benefit our customers that are looking for protection across their entire cloud infrastructure, including assets and workloads; it will also provide Check Point customers the opportunity to leverage Alibaba Cloud.”
Compliance and Security Capabilities
Organizations would get improved security and visibility across their whole cloud infrastructure, including assets and workloads, as a result of the integration, while also ensuring continuous compliance owing to the ability to:
- Deploy advanced security capabilities – Firewall, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), application control, Internet Protocol Security Virtual Private Network (IPsec VPN), antivirus, threat prevention, anti-bot, and more are all available.
- Gain visibility across their entire cloud infrastructure – using a cloud native solution that is completely integrated and unified.
- Achieve and maintain compliance – Check Point’s Governance Specification Language (GSL) builder would allow for simple modification of a large library of out-of-the-box compliance and governance rulesets.
Check Point CloudGuard Posture Management would allow businesses to see and analyze their cloud security posture across a variety of platforms, including Alibaba Cloud, as well as identify and correct misconfigurations. Check Point is also expanding its existing Check Point CloudGuard Network Security capabilities to incorporate Alibaba Cloud high availability and administration, as well as enhanced threat prevention controlled by unified security management.
“Check Point CloudGuard offers enterprises unified and automated cloud native security across multi-cloud environments,” said Itai Greenberg, Vice President of Product Management and Product Marketing, Check Point Software Technologies. “As more enterprises move to the cloud, many are looking for the best solutions to manage their security and compliance posture across their entire cloud infrastructure. Our support of Alibaba Cloud will enable them to receive advanced security and visibility while maintaining continuous compliance.”
