At the Citrix Synergy event, Citrix has unveiled Citrix Workspace Cloud – a new platform designed to simplify the on-demand delivery of a wide range of IT tools and services. The Citrix Workspace Cloud creates a new control plane that merges the worlds of on-premises and cloud hosting environments, allowing IT managers to create secured, mobile workspaces that include desktops, applications and data from whatever infrastructure source best meets their specific needs.
The new solution launched by Citrix addresses the increasing pressure that new devices, apps and work styles are putting on traditional infrastructure. People today want instant access to all the apps and data they use to get their jobs done, and they want to be able to get that access from any device and any location.
Citrix’s cloud-based management platform provides customers the flexibility to choose which clouds or datacenter resources fit their needs best, then select the applications, data, files and features that work best for each specific organization and each person.
Test Drive
To enable partners and customers to understand the scope and value of what Citrix Workspace Cloud offers, Citrix is offering a test drive that walks through the process of publishing a Citrix pre-designed workspace, and allow up to five people to subscribe and use those workspaces.
The test drive will include examples of key services like application and desktop delivery, mobility management, data and content sharing, infrastructure management and more. Additional detail on Citrix Workspace Cloud and access to the test drive is available on citrix.com/workspacecloud.
