Claranet Buys Dutch Online Workspace Specialist Quinfox

European managed services provider (MSP) Claranet has acquired Quinfox, an IT service provider specializing in online workspaces for accountancy, healthcare institutions and service providers. Quinfox is an organization aiming at improving the security, flexibility and productivity of ICT.

Based in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Quinfox was founded in 1998 by Huub van den Bosch and Geert Mossink and consists of 20 employees with a strong focus on the delivery of online workspaces for organizations from 40 to 1,000 workplaces. Quinfox has many years of expertise with some large Dutch organizations in its customer portfolio such as Jeroen Bosch Hospital, Schipper Accountants and Tax Advisers, De Swinhove Groep and Veenman.

“The cooperation with Quinfox gives Claranet the opportunity to strengthen its position in the Dutch market,” said Wiebe Nauta, Managing Director Claranet Benelux. “Claranet now has more than 125 employees in the Netherlands, a turnover of about €20 million and one of the broadest IT portfolios in the country. Quinfox has an excellent relationship with its customers, often for years, sometimes even from the start. The coming period we will therefore keep the existing operation intact and focus mainly on synergistic benefits of the joining of forces.”

Claranet specializes in providing integrated, tailor-made IT solutions for organizations where continuity of processes depends on IT. The company aims for the highest quality and safety standards, with certifications in place including ISO 9001 (quality control), ISO 27001 (information security), NEN 7510 (information security, specifically in the healthcare sector) and ISAE 3402 (outsourcing).

Quinfox‘s co-founder, Geert Mossink, is enthusiastic about the joining of forces with Claranet. “The cooperation with a larger organization with a broad portfolio in the IT field provides us with several advantages,” said Mr. Mossink, who will retain an important management position within the new organization as Service Director. “It gives us the opportunity to grow and gives us access to innovative services for our customers. We can now take far-reaching steps with optimal security and flexibility in our services.”
