Claranet, a European managed service provider, has chosen OnApp as its customer portal for cloud hosting services based on VMware vCloud Director. Claranet will use OnApp to automate and simplify cloud provisioning, offer new billing models and deliver the latest vCloud Director features to its enterprise customers.
Claranet has its operations across 18 European sites. As a VMware Premier level Partner, Claranet provides managed services to more than 5,700 enterprise customers. After a rigorous selection process, Claranet chose OnApp to add a self-service portal to its growing range of VMware-based cloud services.
“Power, flexibility, and ease of use have always been cornerstones of our hosting portfolio,” said Caroline Griffiths, Senior Product Manager, Hosting, Claranet. “We chose the OnApp portal to make our VMware-based hosting services easier to manage, easier to automate and even more intuitive for our clients. The ability to offer these services combined with Claranet’s managed services was a real advantage for our portfolio.”
OnApp’s portal provides a fully automated cloud management and provisioning solution for the VMware vCloud Air Network, the global ecosystem of VMware service providers. OnApp’s portal is the first third party product to be available through the VMware vCloud Air Network program. More information is available at http://onapp.com/vmware.
“We are excited to see Claranet taking advantage of the wide range of capabilities available through the VMware vCloud® Air Network program,” said Geoff Waters, vice president, Service Provider Channel, VMware. “The availability of third party products, such as OnApp, through the vCloud Air Network, helps our global service provider community build market-focused, highly differentiated cloud offerings with VMware technology at their core.”
