Green House Data, a cloud hosting and colocation services provider with highly energy efficient, green data centers located across the U.S., has announced the acquisition of FiberCloud – a Seattle-based cloud hosting infrastructure provider with three data center locations throughout western Washington and a “robust” portfolio of hosted products.
FiberCloud was founded in 2001 as Lightstream Datacenters, a wholly owned subsidiary of Whidbey Telecom, a telco based on Whidbey Island, Washington whose roots stretch back to 1908.
Upon completion of the acquisition, FiberCloud will separate from Whidbey Telecom and operate under the Green House Data brand. FiberCloud’s data center locations acquired by Green House Data include the western Washington based Westin Building Exchange.

FiberCloud’s exclusive financial advisor in this transaction was Media Venture Partners (MVP), an investment banking firm serving companies in the technology, communications, media, and renewable energy sectors; comprehensive services include merger and acquisition advisory, debt and equity financing, and restructuring advisory.
