Cloud Hosting Provider Ajubeo Selects Zayo as Bandwidth Infrastructure Provider

ajubeo-cloud-hostingAjubeo, a U.S.-based  provider of enterprise-grade cloud hosting Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), has chosen Zayo Group as the preferred provider of fiber connectivity services for Ajubeo’s national cloud hub expansion.

Zayo will provide fiber between existing Ajubeo cloud hub and network PoP data centers, as well as fiber that enables low latency data transfer across the United States. Ajubeo is currently working with Zayo to provide connectivity to locations in the Denver and New York markets. The company’s roadmap calls for production cloud hubs in Southern California and Florida as well, readying Ajubeo – pronounced “A-Joo-Bee-Oh” – for international expansion to Asia Pacific and South America.

“Zayo’s expansive fiber footprint reduces latency for Ajubeo customers,” said Chuck Price, president and CEO of Ajubeo.

With its acquisitions of USCarrier, FiberGate and AboveNet, Zayo’s network includes 75,954 route miles, spanning 45 states in the U.S. as well as major cities in the United Kingdom, France, Germany and the Netherlands. Zayo’s extensive presence in U.S. markets would also enable on-demand deployment of Ajubeo cloud hub locations outside the pre-determined roadmap for customers with proximity-based needs.

Both companies are headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, part of the Front Range area where Zayo has 560 route miles and has recently invested in a fiber expansion from Fort Collins, to Denver, and to Colorado Springs. When completed in 2014, Zayo will offer over 1,000 route miles serving the Front Range and local industry hubs such as the central business district and Denver Technology Center.

“Zayo is well-suited to support Ajubeo’s growing network of high-performance, maximum uptime cloud infrastructure services,” said Chuck Price, cofounder and CEO of Ajubeo. “Zayo’s expansive fiber footprint reduces latency for Ajubeo customers deploying production applications across multiple regions and countries.”

Ajubeo was founded in 2011 and is a pure-play cloud provider. The NetApp and VMware-powered Ajubeo IaaS cloud hosting offering includes virtual datacenters, virtual desktops, cloud-based disaster recovery, cloud-based data backup and restore, and cloud-based systems and application monitoring.
