RapidScale, a global provider of cloud hosting services including Infrastructure-as-a-Service solutions, has hired Ron Hamlett as the Vice President of Channel Sales for the Western Region of the United States. Prior to joining RapidScale, Mr. Hamlett served as the Vice President of Business development for three years at Colo4 Dallas, now TierPoint, Dallas.
Ron Hamlett brings over 12 years of industry carrier services, colocation and cloud hosting services experience to the RapidScale team. Before joining TierPoint, he served as General Manager with Level3 Communications in Dallas, where he worked extensively with large enterprise organizations. The announcement follows news that Eric Solomon, an experienced telecom channel manager, was hired to run the North Central Region of the United States.

Hamlett has also served as the Vice President of Sales for XO communications and is a member of Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC), a non-profit organization providing resources for established and start-up technology companies. Moreover, prior to embarking on his civilian career, he served for four years in the United States Navy.
