SherWeb, a Canadian cloud hosting services provider with offices in the U.S. and Europe, has acquired ORCS Web Inc., a Windows-based managed hosting provider headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. OrcsWeb represents SherWeb’s third acquisition in three years and its first in the competitive Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) market – a segment in which SherWeb has recently made significant inroads.
OrcsWeb has been providing shared, cloud hosting and dedicated server solutions since 1996. The company has extensive experience in Microsoft-platform hosting including ASP.NET, and SQL Server hosting solutions. It has four data center locations in Charlotte.

OrcsWeb will continue to operate as a wholly-owned SherWeb subsidiary. Blue Beacon Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor to SherWeb in connection with this transaction. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
