Verio, a provider of cloud hosting, managed services and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) to SMBs, has entered has entered into a licensing agreement with IndependenceIT. Verio will leverage IndependenceIT’s Cloud Workspace Suite to enable desktop-as-a-service (DaaS) on a subscription basis via Verio’s cloud hosting services platform.
IndependenceIT’s Cloud Workspace Suite would provide a complete cloud hosting-based application and desktop-as-a-service enablement and delivery solution, giving SMBs ease of management and access to productivity tools. The solution integrates access to business applications, a full-featured Microsoft Windows desktop, and corporate file systems, from anywhere and on any device. The platform supports more than 600 business applications, enabled on-demand from within the interface.
Verio will integrate the solution’s management and provisioning engine into its service portfolio via Cloud Workspace’s application programming interface (API), allowing for on-demand deployment of business applications. This integration enables Verio to manage cloud hosting services service delivery through its existing management tools while integrating and automating desktop and application provisioning, deployment and support functions.
