AVANT Communications is going to distribute Acronis Backup Cloud to protect Office 365 data through the AVANT channel ecosystem of VARs, MSPs and Telecom Agents. Acronis Backup Cloud is a new solution for customers who use Microsoft Office 365 that provides an added level of data protection for email, calendar, contacts, and attachments.
AVANT is already a provider of Acronis Disaster Recovery Service. The addition of Acronis Backup Cloud data protection would fill a key market need for channel partners that have become the trusted advisors for mid-sized to enterprise customers.
Acronis Backup Cloud backs up data locally or to the cloud, enabling IT managers to “easily search backups and provide fast recovery” of email, attachments, or other mailbox objects, delivering complete control and protection for Microsoft Office 365 email users. Acronis Backup Cloud can also be extended to protect servers and workstations both locally and in the cloud, with an ability to “easily” recover or restore data, including dissimilar hardware.

Acronis Backup Cloud would provide users with an easy-to-use web-based console from which they can manage backup locations and activities. Users can search and preview mail by subject, to/from, and sent/received date ranges, and download attachments without needing to fully recover the data. Customers can also granularly restore individual emails, attachments, contacts, calendars, and tasks, or restore entire messages by sending them as an email directly from the recovery console.
With Acronis Backup Cloud, service providers can offer customers a backup service to protect all of their email data. Using the brand-able, self-service Acronis Backup Cloud console, customers can control their backups, centrally view all activities, and receive problem alerts for all their protected data – including Office 365 email.
The flexible storage options inherent to Acronis Backup Cloud would allow customers to back up their mailbox data to a local folder, network folder, the Acronis Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Amazon S3, SoftLayer, or any private cloud storage. Acronis Backup Cloud satisfies regulatory compliance requirements and gives control and ownership of data back to businesses and IT managers.
