Cirrus Data Solutions to Support Migrating Legacy Storage Area Networks (SANs) to Microsoft Azure Cloud

Cirrus Data Solutions, a developer of software for data migrations and caching for enterprise data centers and storage area networks (SANs), now supports legacy SAN migration to Microsoft Azure, making it easy for enterprises to migrate to Azure cloud hosting services.

Microsoft’s cloud computing platform, Azure, is a growing collection of integrated services – analytics, computing, database, mobile, networking, storage, and web. As a Microsoft Azure Certified Cloud Partner, Cirrus Data provides a solution that addresses large-scale migration projects under tight deadlines.

microsoft-azureThe Data Migration Server (DMS) from Cirrus Data Solutions would eliminate both the need for downtime and the load placed on virtual machines associated with migrating from their legacy locations and can be throttled so that there is no effect on production.

The software appliance supports all types of data migration schemes including: local storage refresh, local to remote (data center move), legacy to cloud (physical to virtual), cloud to cloud, cloud to data center, and other common storage management practices.
