Cloud Foundry Summit Europe Brings Multi-Cloud and IoT Platform Best Practices to Frankfurt

Cloud Foundry Foundation, collectively developed by Cisco, EMC, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, IBM, Pivotal, SAP, and leaders in manufacturing, telecommunications, and financial services, has announced the schedule for its Europe Summit, September 26-28, 2016 at the Congress Center Messe in Frankfurt. The schedule features keynotes from leading organizations like EMC, Fidelity, Dutch Government Agency Rijkswaterstaat (RWS), Pivotal, SAP and Volkswagen (VW).

The Cloud Foundry Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization formed to sustain the development, promotion and adoption of Cloud Foundry as the industry standard multicloud platform. An Apache 2.0 licensed project available on Github, Cloud Foundry would make it faster and easier to build, test, deploy and scale applications.

More than 600 businesses, developers and vendors from across Europe are gathering to share best practices and hear senior executives discuss how Cloud Foundry has helped them build and deploy “robust, resilient and flexible” cloud native applications across multiple cloud platforms at the Cloud Foundry Summit.

cloud foundry“For businesses wrestling with the challenges of integrating multiple public and private clouds, hearing how others have done it successfully can help drive their strategy forward,” said Sam Ramji, CEO of Cloud Foundry Foundation. “For enterprise developers focused on increasing the velocity of application development or trying to build cloud native applications at scale – this is the perfect opportunity to learn more.”

Summit attendees will collaborate with peers, meet the developers behind Cloud Foundry and discuss future roadmap plans for this multi-cloud platform. Developers can participate in two full days of training on microservices and IoT development in a continuous delivery environment, and see how others are leveraging multi-cloud models to deliver apps faster than ever before. The Summit also gives attendees insight on how they can get started with Cloud Foundry and even help influence the project.

Cloud Foundry’s container-based architecture runs apps in any language on any choice of cloud – Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Platform (GCP), OpenStack, VMware vSphere, SoftLayer and more.
