OnRamp, an Austin, Texas-based company operating multiple SSAE16/AICPA SOC 2 Type 2 data centers where it deploys hybrid computing solutions that include cloud computing, managed hosting and colocation, has announced the release of its ‘Cloud Innovation Program’ with the goal of helping startups “innovate, scale and thrive.”
Eligible startups receive six months of free cloud resources on OnRamp’s HITRUST-certified virtual private cloud (VPC) built on OpenStack technology and access to OnRamp’s rich set of resources, including security and compliance expertise, an extended community of partners, and marketing opportunities.
The program is open to all startups, but would be best suited for software startups developing a SaaS-based product or service that’s subject to security and compliance mandates, such as HIPAA and PCI DSS.
“Our intent is to empower startups with secure, certified infrastructure so they can focus on what they do best: code, test, build, scale and bring new ideas to market,” said Lucas Braun, CEO of OnRamp. “Austin and Raleigh both have a tight-knit community of entrepreneurs who support one another. With this spirit in mind, we developed a program that gives back to the community.”
Virtual Private Cloud
OnRamp’s VPC would feature the ease of use of a public cloud with self-service provisioning, automation using APIs, full storage volume encryption to meet compliance and security needs, and more. Startups will receive priority access to early releases and discounts on services once the program ends and when it’s time to scale.
Beyond the technology stack, startups can leverage OnRamp’s extensive network of partners and internal team of experts – from cloud support to security and compliance. Program members (like regular OnRamp customers) will be the first to know about product releases and sponsored local events, as well as co-marketing opportunities for added exposure.
