Cloud Provider Interoute Acquires European Managed Service Provider Easynet for $617M

Interoute, owner-operator of one of Europe’s largest networks and a global cloud hosting services platform, has acquired data center company Easynet. The transaction places an enterprise value of £402 million, about $617 million on Easynet.

The acquisition will enable customers of the merged group to access a full suite of the combined companies products and services.

interoute-vdcInteroute provides a range of Unified Connectivity (UC), computing and communications products and services to multinational and national enterprises, such as UEFA, the European Space Agency, SCA and Saxo Bank, global telecommunications operators and internet content providers.

Easynet is a managed service provider with over twenty years’ experience delivering integrated networks, hosting and unified communications solutions to national, international and global customers. Enhancing these core areas of expertise is a range of complimentary services including colocation, security, voice and application performance management.
