CloudCheckr, a unified cost and security management platform and a provider of analytic solutions to optimize cloud computing performance, has earned the newly launched AWS Government Competency certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS designed the AWS Competency Program to recognize members of its partner program that have, according to AWS, “demonstrated technical proficiency and proven customer success in specialized solution areas.”
CloudCheckr earned its AWS Government Competency certification based upon actual government customer results and successes. The AWS Government Competency specifically highlights partners who provide solutions to and have deep experience working with government customers for the purposes of delivering mission-critical workloads and applications on AWS Cloud.
“The inclusion in the AWS government competency list further validates CloudCheckr’s commitment to helping government agencies leverage the power of the cloud while helping them stay safe,” said Aaron Newman, Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer of CloudCheckr.
CloudCheckr fulfills this mission by providing purpose-built government solutions that help agencies across a variety of use-cases in continuous monitoring, cost management, security and compliance, resource utilization and asset management. The company assists customers in both the AWS GovCloud (US), AWS C2S and commercial regions.
With CloudCheckr assistance, government agencies would be able to leverage AWS and simultaneously fulfill the key requirements of security frameworks, such as the continuous diagnostics and mitigation (CDM) requirements within NIST SP 800-53 series and the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).
Previously, CloudCheckr earned its Security and DevOps competencies from AWS. “We were already part of the AWS Government Partner Program and have earned our Security and DevOps competencies,” added Mr. Newman. “Earning this competency is an important distinction for us since only a handful of companies have developed solutions for AWS Cloud that meet the strict requirements for use by the public sector.”
