Data center operator ColoSpace and Citrix Platinum Solution Provider, IntraSystems, have announced a Citrix-based Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) solution. The joint cloud hosting desktop offering can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
The DaaS offering brings together the desktop, applications, data and IT services into a single cloud solution. This solution enables people to access all of their apps and data—cloud or local – from a hosted desktop on any device – Windows, Mac, tablet or smartphone – from any location.
IntraSystems, a Citrix Platinum Solution and Service Provider in New England, and ColoSpace, a regional provider of data center colocation in New England with four data centers in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, became partners in 2014.
“It just made sense to partner in order to create a service that fulfills such a growing demand,” said ColoSpace Co-Founder, Aaron Sawchuk. John Fox, ColoSpace COO added, “Companies are really seeking out flexible solutions that drive down their IT spend. This is a great extension to our suite of managed services that provides just that – a flexible and cost efficient, cloud hosting based solution.”
Cloud Desktop Service
All ColoSpace data centers are SSAE16 certified, PCI, and HIPAA compliant. Their services include data center colocation, backup and storage, disaster recovery, managed security, infrastructure monitoring, and enterprise cloud hosting solutions.
“Today, more companies see the value of provisioning desktops through a secure cloud service,” said Paul Kunze, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, IntraSystems. “Our partnership with ColoSpace allows us to offer customers a highly available and customized desktop solution at a fraction of the cost of a typical desktop solution.”
