IBM Joins forces With 21Vianet Group To Boost Managed Private Cloud Adoption in China

IBM has joined forces with 21Vianet Group, one of China’s largest carrier-neutral Internet Data Center (IDC) service providers, to introduce IBM’s cloud infrastructure service in China and accelerate managed private cloud adoption.IBM will provide the physical Point of Distribution (POD) and service while 21Vianet will host the POD facility at 21Vianet datacenter in Beijing.

IBM SmartCloud Enterprise+ delivers a customizable infrastructure service built on open standards for the most demanding workloads of Chinese clients. IBM’s cloud capabilities would be able to deliver a comprehensive, yet flexible enterprise cloud environment within a few hours, with the highest levels of security. It uses a virtual private network to provide access to cloud infrastructure and provides end-to-end 99.9 percent availability.
