US Signal, a Midwest-based network, colocation and cloud hosting provider with over 14,000 miles of lit fiber and metro rings in 23 strategic markets, has expanded its offerings with the introduction of a professional services division providing cloud migration, data transfer and onboarding services to aid new and existing US Signal customers.
The professional services team would act as an extension of a client’s IT staff to assist with infrastructure assessments, installation and building of virtual environments, migration to the cloud and training as needed.
“We recognized a gap between our existing service offerings and our customers’ need for assistance as they transition to enhanced cloud and data center solutions,” said Adam Kessler, head of the Professional Services team at US Signal. “Our existing customers have been continuously impressed with US Signal’s dedication and management of network and cloud environments. Over the past several months, we have received numerous requests for IT services mainly around data center virtualization and data onboarding services. Our professional services team was created in direct response to the need US Signal identified.”
US Signal’s professional services have the ability to migrate and onboard data from physical and virtual environments directly into the US Signal Cloud. These services include destination environment configuration, migration process monitoring and connectivity confirmation once the migration is complete. Through this process, clients can continue to run source servers and rely on the US Signal team to manage the migration from beginning to end.
“Since the professional services team is a customer-focused division, the team fulfills a direct need for additional IT staff members,” added Kessler. “Our customers are busy people and they often find themselves stuck between workloads and a lack of staff to perform necessary IT functions. Our professional services team acts as an extension of their IT staff on an as-needed basis, easing the burden of project and operational issues.”
With eight physical data centers and over 14,000-miles of fiber, US Signal’s infrastructure is one of the largest, fully deployed networks in the Midwest. The network’s optical backbone features Cisco’s latest carrier-grade architecture and supports all of US Signal’s products. US Signal’s product portfolio includes a full suite of colocation, disaster recovery, security and cloud hosting services to complement its network offerings.
