PacketFabric, a global network-as-a-service platform provider and a member of the NantWorks ecosystem of companies, has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Networking Competency status. PacketFabric now offers secured connectivity to AWS Direct Connect, enabling its customers to reach cloud services provided by AWS from any location on the PacketFabric network.
Achieving the AWS Networking Competency would differentiate PacketFabric as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member that provides specialized demonstrated technical proficiency and proven customer success with a specific focus on Networking based on Network Management. To receive the designation, APN Partners must possess deep AWS technology expertise and deliver solutions seamlessly on AWS Cloud.
“PacketFabric is dedicated to providing secure, private network connectivity, and this agreement enables our customers to access scalable cloud services with the enhanced security delivered by our private network,” said Jezzibell Gilmore, SVP Business Development, PacketFabric. “We’re very excited to join the AWS Networking Competency Program, and to meet the market demand for secure and reliable data transport to cloud services offered by AWS.”
Connectivity to AWS Cloud
AWS established the AWS Partner Competency Program to help customers identify Consulting and Technology APN Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.
PacketFabric’s agreement with AWS would provide added security for connecting to AWS Cloud. By using PacketFabric’s private network to reach AWS Direct Connect, customers would see improved security and performance compared to connecting through the public Internet.
PacketCOR, the cloud on-ramp product offered by PacketFabric, would allow for “cost-effective” connectivity to AWS Cloud and other cloud service providers. By connecting at any of PacketFabric’s locations, customers can connect to AWS Cloud in the following AWS Direct Connect locations:
US-East-1 – Dallas, New York City, Washington, D.C.
US-East-2 – Chicago
US-West-1 – Los Angeles, San Francisco
US-West-2 – Portland, Seattle
