Software development company Ntractive has selected Rackspace Hosting (NYSE: RAX) to host its Mac CRM SaaS software, Elements CRM. The Software as a Service (SaaS) of Ntractive was first introduced to the public at a keynote address during Apple’s 2007 World Wide Developer’s Conference. With its 2.0 release it was awarded the honor of Apple “Staff Pick” in July, 2009.

The founder of Ntractive explains why the open cloud solution offered by Rackspace is a good option: “Building a custom data center requires a lot of resources and time to build and maintain. By moving to Rackspace public cloud, powered by OpenStack we are able to scale vertically and horizontally and spin up new Cloud Servers with amazing speed and agility,” says Justin Bartak, Founder & CEO of Ntractive. “Rackspace gives our business cloud application and our customers unprecedented scalability, reliability and security.”

Mac CRM, Version 5.0

Elements CRM is a Mac Customer Relationship Management (Mac CRM) solution offered as SaaS. Ntractive claims the software is changing the way companies collaborate, work and communicate on the Mac and iOS Devices. The company’s Elements Platform, which is part desktop and part cloud, is powered by Webkit. Webkit is the open source browser engine that is used by Safari, the iPad and iPhone and many other applications.

The latest version of Elements CRM, Version 5.0 marks the official launch of Ntractive’s next generation cloud solution, powered by Rackspace. Elements CRM Version 5.0 is available in the Mac App Store and the Ntractive website. Ntractive is headquartered in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
