P97 Networks, a provider of secured cloud based mobile commerce and digital marketing solutions for the convenience retail and fuels marketing industry, has announced the version 2 release of its flagship mobile commerce app, PetroZone, bringing together Windows 10 and Microsoft Azure Service Bus to deliver its mobile payment and digital marketing capability.
P97’s PetroZone mobile commerce platform is now supported across Windows 10 devices, including tablets and smartphones, to provide a broad mobile and cloud connected experience.
“Today’s consumers are mobile centric – from buying coffee to boarding flights – so they want more access to data and services from the palm of their hand,” said Donald Frieden, P97 president and CEO. “With PetroZone, consumers can now find gas, shop prices, and save money at gas stations and c-stores with the convenience of their smartphone and the security of Windows 10 and Azure. That’s the power of PetroZone.”
P97 utilizes Microsoft Azure as a service, and multi-factor authentication to deliver a “frictionless approach” to mobile payments at retail fuel sites and convenience stores; one that is secured and scalable and designed to support the 150,000+ gas stations and convenience stores in the U.S. market today.
“Performance is non-negotiable for our customers, and is critical to the success of their cloud-driven businesses,” said Nicole Herskowitz, senior director of product marketing, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Corp. “Because of that, we’re pleased to welcome P97 to Microsoft Azure.”
P97’s mCommerce solutions would enhance the ability of convenience store operators, marketers, and oil companies to attract and retain customers. It provides technology that “securely” connects millions of individual mobile phones and connected cars with identity and geo-location based software technology to create “unique connected-consumer experiences.”
