SingleHop Launches Remote Management Services for Microsoft Azure

SingleHop, a provider of on-demand hosted private clouds and managed hosting, has iannounced the availability of its ServiceFirst managed services for Microsoft Azure. SingleHop will deliver these services for Azure’s public cloud through their recently acquired, Microsoft-focused operating division, Server Intellect.

microsoft-azureWith a comprehensive portfolio of managed services, automated tools and expert staff, SingleHop’s Server Intellect team would help customers deploy and manage Microsoft Azure-hosted VMs “faster and more efficiently with improved security and performance.” The new offering provides additional layers of services not available from Microsoft Azure.

The suite of services would address the market’s steady adoption of hybrid cloud by delivering a solution that seamlessly manages workloads across existing and new Microsoft Azure deployments, private clouds, and bare metal environments.

“Microsoft Azure is a desirable choice for many organizations, but public cloud often lacks the degree of support to make it work smoothly and efficiently,” said Adam Cady, Director of Third Party Managed Services, SingleHop. “Server Intellect’s advanced support for Azure makes moving workloads across the Azure stack and private environments simple. We extend full service and support through the operating system level while giving customers as much visibility and control as they desire. With this solution, customers no longer have to choose between Azure infrastructure and great service and support.”

singlehop-private-cloudAn automation-based approach would allow customers to get up and running with SingleHop ServiceFirst for Azure within minutes and begin to take advantage of services immediately. Once set up, SingleHop’s Microsoft Certified Engineers, backed by a “robust” automation toolkit, will take over managing all supported Microsoft Azure instances to the OS level. Remote monitoring and maintenance capabilities built into the offering would enable fast, easy deployment of software and patches that ensure peak performance with less possibility of human error.

The solution would provide a single-pane-of-glass view into customer’s Azure deployments, granting customers full oversight and transparency at all times across all management, support and services.
