SingleHop, a provider of cloud-enabled managed hosting, has announced the launch of its new Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) offering. This new cloud hosting infrastructure with enterprise-grade capabilities would cater to the needs of small to medium-sized businesses who want to benefit from a private, yet scalable cloud strategy.
Built on a range of enterprise technologies from VMware, Veeam, EMC, and many others, and fully integrated with SingleHop’s global cloud automation and orchestration platform, SingleHop’s Virtual Private Cloud is offered and deployed on a pure allocation basis, giving customers the freedom and flexibility to granularly allocate very specific resources to their Virtual Private Cloud. From a scalability standpoint, this would empower customers to dynamically scale their Virtual Private Cloud’s resources up and down with ease.
The Virtual Private Cloud solution has achieved VMware Hybrid Cloud Powered status, illustrating to customers that the company’s cloud hosting services are underpinned by VMware’s virtualization and cloud computing technology, namely VMware vSphere and VMware vCloud Director. Customers can deploy an unlimited number of Virtual Private Clouds from within SingleHop’s LEAP interface, and can manage each VPC individually through direct, administrator-level access to VMware’s vCloud Director.
“Deploying a Virtual Private Cloud solves a number of common problems for businesses today,” said Jordan Jacobs, Vice President of Products at SingleHop. “First, the pricing model is allocation-driven, easy to understand and fixed, meaning you don’t pay more just because you deploy a new Virtual Server inside of a Virtual Private Cloud. Second, it’s scalable, in two ways. You can allocate and reallocate your cloud resources to any Virtual Server inside of your Virtual Private Cloud anytime you want. And finally, the size of your Virtual Private Cloud itself can be scaled quickly and easily.”
SingleHop serves more than 5,500 customers in more than 124 countries with data centers across the United States and Europe.
