OSNEXUS, a provider of software defined storage (SDS) solutions, has entered into a North American reseller distribution agreement with Redapt, a full service systems integrator based in Redmond Washington. The agreement will enable Redapt to deliver a broad set of storage solutions based on the OSNEXUS QuantaStor SDS platform including cloud hosting, virtualization, scale-out-NAS, and disaster recovery.
OSNEXUS’ QuantaStor SDS platform would deliver enterprise-grade software with consumer-grade simplicity. The QuantaStor storage appliance software is a combined SAN (iSCSI/FC) + NAS (NFS) storage system OS built on top of Ubuntu Server (Linux) which installs on any commodity 64bit Intel or AMD server.
The QuantaStor SDS platform is designed to tackle the storage challenges facing cloud hosting, Big Data and high performance applications. The platform is a nexus of open storage capabilities in a single unified suite, including traditional block and file protocols, databases like Hadoop, OpenStack SWIFT and scale-out storage. OSNEXUS’ platform has been deployed in a variety of applications including virtualization, high availability, archive, high performance computing, and private, hybrid and public cloud hosting environments.
Designed for the IT generalist
“The market has been lacking an open storage solution that seamlessly allows us to deliver a broad range of features such as scale-out, high availability, multi-tenancy, and virtualization,” said Jeff Dickey, Senior VP of Cloud Solutions, Redapt. “With such a broad spectrum of customer demands we are always looking for innovative ways to deliver best of class systems and support and OSNEXUS has proven to be a great SDS partner.”
QuantaStor was designed for the IT generalist who has to do it all. IT administrators who have been overwhelmed with complicated virtualization, network configuration and storage set up find QuantaStor fast, intuitive and easy to use, according to OSNEXUS.
“Our channel partner network is a critical component necessary to realize our vision and we are delighted to have a relationship with an industry leading organization such as Redapt,” said Steven Umbehocker, President and CEO, OSNEXUS, a company headquartered in Mercer Island, Washington. “The future of storage is software defined and OSNEXUS will continue to deliver on our vision of unified scale-out file, block, and object storage that’s easy to manage.”
