Talligent, an OpenStack expert company based in Austin, Texas, has announced the general availability of OpenBook v2.5. The latest release of OpenBook extends the cloud-billing platform with functionality that would improve the efficiency and service response of running public and enterprise clouds on OpenStack.
Talligent empowers enterprises and cloud hosting service providers to deploy production ready OpenStack clouds by “dramatically” improving the visibility and control of cloud infrastructure consumption.
New features of Talligent’s OpenBook v2.5 include:
- New CIO dashboards and reports would provide detailed views of resource consumption, tenant growth, cost allocation, and revenue forecasts.
- OpenBook automates key tenant onboarding steps and provides the self-service IaaS platform architects desire from OpenStack.
- All configuration, consumption, and rated data about the cloud can be “easily” exported to third party accounting, CRM, or other systems using the RESTful API.
- Proven scale managing over 10,000 VMs in a production cloud distributed over multiple data centers.
OpenBook v2.5 is compatible with Havana, Icehouse, and Juno releases of OpenStack and is available via the Canonical Juju Charm store. Evaluations and demonstrations of the latest release are available now from Talligent.
