UK Based Skyscape Cloud Services Launches Charitable Foundation

Skyscape Cloud Services, a UK provider of cloud solutions specifically designed to meet the needs of the UK public sector, announced the launch of the Skyscape Foundation, a corporate social responsibility initiative dedicated to supporting charitable causes.

The Skyscape Foundation will give an annual donation of 2% of net profits from 2015/16 to charities chosen by the company and its employees. Skyscape actively encourages its employees to support their personal charities or ones close to them, as well as the company’s chosen charities – The Prince’s Trust and BBC Children In Need.

The Skyscape Foundation will also provide ‘matched funding’ for any monies raised by its employees in their own charitable efforts. In addition, Skyscape has committed to providing every employee one paid day each year for them to participate in all kinds of charity activity based around the giving of time, money and talent.

“We’re delighted that The Prince’s Trust has been chosen as a charity partner for the newly launched Skyscape Foundation,” said Francesca Mott, Head of Business Development at The Trust. “Support from Skyscape will enable us to reach out to even more vulnerable young people across the UK and empower them to transform their lives. The skills and knowledge Skyscape employees can offer will help inspire and inform the next generation of technology professionals.”

The launch of the Foundation coincided with Skyscape Cloud Services’ involvement in The Race Across America (RAAM) for the second consecutive year. Last year’s race saw Skyscape sponsoring the London Pride Spinhalers. This year Skyscape sponsored the Ruck and Rollers (http://ruckandrollers.com) who completed the 3,000 miles in 6 days 11 hours to raise funds for Asthma UK. To date the team has raised over £100,000. RAAM is recognized as one of the toughest endurance cycling races in the world, as it is one third longer than the Tour de France.

“We’re thrilled to be involved with some truly great events and charities – and to dedicate our time, products and services, as well as financial donations,” added Mr. Hansford. “As a company, we’re working towards expanding the vision of the Skyscape Foundation to ensure its objectives will align with and enhance our core values and CSR policies, providing confidence and reassurance in the fact we’re a socially responsible organization.”
