WHOA.com Hires New Vice President of Sales

WHOA.com, a company offering a comprehensive portfolio of cloud hosting services including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), cloud storage, disaster recovery (DR), integrated applications and security, has appointed Israel Varela as Vice President of Sales. Mr. Varela will lead the expansion of WHOA.com’s sales strategy.

Israel Varela comes from Rackspace and has more than 12 years of experience. Most recently he was Commercial Director of Sales at Rackspace. During his career at Rackspace, Mr. Varela led teams maintaining over 1,500 cloud-centric accounts valued at over $100 million in annual revenue.

Mr. Varela joined Rackspace in 2008 and in less than 6 years his successes propelled him to the management team as Director of Commercial Sales. Now, he will lead WHOA.com’s sales efforts using his extensive industry knowledge and experience.
