Zayo Group (NYSE: ZAYO) has unveiled its updated cloud hosting services portfolio to complement its base of infrastructure and connectivity services. Zayo’s strategic expansion is driven by its acquisition of Latisys, with additional capabilities from cloud hosting platforms obtained through the AtlantaNAP and Neo acquisitions.
Zayo’s post-Latisys integration relaunch provides customers with a full product set, which includes private, public and hybrid Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud hosting services in the U.S. and Europe.
Zayo’s portfolio of updated cloud hosting services includes a host of value-added managed services that can be layered on to custom tailored solutions for added performance, security, scalability and continuity. These services include security services such as managed firewall, threat management and log management, performance services, such as load balancing, monitoring and database management and a variety of storage and backup solutions, including fully featured disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS).
45 Data Centers
“The rapid adoption of cloud hosting services makes Zayo’s expansion into this market a natural extension of our bandwidth infrastructure business,” said Chris Morley, COO and president of Cloud and Connectivity, Zayo. “Through acquisition and investment, we have built a set of private and hybrid cloud solutions that are compelling in their own right and even more so when combined with our extensive fiber and data center facilities.”
With eight cloud enabled platforms geographically dispersed across its 45 data centers and six million fiber miles of network throughout the United States and Europe, Zayo would be able to easily deliver multi-site redundancy, secure cloud-based disaster recovery and connectivity to enterprise and infrastructure locations.
