Scalr, a global provider of hybrid cloud management solutions, has hired Larissa Crandall as Global Senior Director of Channel Sales. Crandall, who was honored as a ‘Top 100 Most Powerful Woman in the Channel’ and ‘Woman in the Channel’ by CRN in 2018 and 2017, is chartered with building out Scalr’s channel partner programs across the world.
The cloud management solutions company has been selling through channel partners for several years already. The channel would be critical to Scalr’s success. “But until now, we haven’t had a formal, proactive effort to support and expand our network of resellers, system integrators, and managed service providers,” said Brett Johnson, Vice President Sales at Scalr. “Larissa is a true channel expert and advocate. Her extraordinary successes at building channel programs and her nuanced understanding of diverse partners’ needs and opportunities, will be invaluable in growing our business.”
Larissa Crandall brings 20 years of channel and sales expertise to Scalr. She came to Scalr from Kaspersky Labs where, as Senior Director of Channel Sales, North America, she rebuilt the channel team and grew year-over-year (YoY) partner revenue by double digits. Before that, as Director of Channel Sales and Distribution, North America for Unitrends, Crandall launched the company’s 100% channel initiative “and was responsible for 50% YoY net new business revenue.” Earlier, when Crandall was VP of Sales for Itrica she oversaw a team “that drove 250% YoY growth.” Crandall also spent 14 years in various sales leadership roles at Connection, which provided the foundation for her channel career.
Hybrid Cloud Management Platform
“Scalr’s cloud management platform is ideal for the channel. With more and more enterprises adopting multi-cloud and struggling with its inherent complexities, there’s a tremendous opportunity for partners to use Scalr to drive lucrative cloud transformation projects,” said Larissa Crandall. “I’m excited to kickstart Scalr’s new channel initiative and build world-class programs that make it easy for all types of partners to capitalize on Scalr’s innovations.”
Scalr Hybrid Cloud Management Platform uses a “unique” hierarchical, top-down approach to policy enforcement that would empower administrators to balance the needs of finance, security, IT and development teams. Leading global organizations, including Samsung, Expedia, NASA JPL, Gannett and the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, would rely on Scalr to accelerate and protect their cloud-based operations.
