Cloudability, a company specializing in cloud management tools that enable companies to manage cloud spending across departments, products and infrastructure, has acquired CloudMGR – an AWS Advanced Technology partner based in Brisbane, Australia and provider of cloud automation solutions.
Cloudability has been working with businesses in Australia since 2012. The cloud management tool provider has grown its presence to include Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, while expanding its customer base to include clients such as Atlassian and Tabcorp.
“It’s been encouraging to see this region grow over the past few years,” said Mat Ellis, CEO of Cloudabilty. “Joining forces with CloudMGR allows us to better serve both our existing customer base as well as the ever-growing number of companies adopting the cloud in Australia and New Zealand.”
Designed for businesses running on public cloud services like Amazon Web Services (AWS Cloud) and Microsoft Azure, Cloudability would give companies the tools to track spending and gain the flexibility of the cloud without unnecessary or hidden costs. Cloudability’s cost reporting tools would provide businesses like General Electric, Uber and Adobe with granular visibility into all cloud usage and costs.
“We are big believers in automation,” added Mr. Ellis, suggesting that some of CloudMGR’s features could re-emerge in future Cloudability releases. “We will incorporate their expertise in this area to improve upon our solutions relating to data-driven automation.”
