N2W Software, a provider of cloud-native data protection and disaster recovery for Amazon Web Services (AWS), has closed a round of funding. The capital investment, led by leading global private equity and venture capital firm Insight Venture Partners, will be used to enhance N2W’s cloud-based data protection offerings.
The funding will be utilized to further help companies striving to secure, manage and protect critical data and infrastructure hosted with AWS and other public cloud providers.
“Since founding N2W Software in 2012 we’ve focused on making Cloud Protection Manager (CPM) the leader in AWS backup and disaster recovery,” said Uri Wolloch, founder and CTO at N2W Software. “I am tremendously excited that we’re now in a position to dramatically accelerate the CPM roadmap on the way to turning our vision into a reality.”
To support this vision, N2W will expand its cloud data protection development center in Haifa, Israel, and open a new headquarters in the United States based in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Board, Leadership Changes
At the same time, N2W has announced that it is welcoming Ratmir Timashev, co-founder of Veeam Software, to its Board of Directors. Mr. Timashev is a highly regarded figure in the backup and disaster recovery industry. His presence would be a major asset in helping guide N2W through the next stage of its development.
“As enterprise customers move more mission-critical applications and data to the cloud, the need to protect them increases greatly. N2W Software is well positioned to lead the backup and data protection market for the public cloud,” said Ratmir Timashev. “I am excited to be part of this process and look forward to joining the N2W team on the Board of Directors.”
Jason Judge and Andy Langsam have also joined the company as CEO and COO, respectively. The pair would bring an established and successful track record of building enterprise software companies. Mr. Judge was previously CEO of 5Nine Software, Veriato, and ScriptLogic while Mr. Langsam was part of the LOGICnow team that was recently acquired by SolarWinds and part of the SciptLogic team that was acquired by Quest Software.
“Our partnership with Insight will allow us to expand our development, sales and marketing efforts very quickly,” said Jason Judge, CEO of N2W Software. “Insight Venture Partners has a proven track record as a tremendous partner for leading enterprise software companies. I look forward to leading N2W, a company that is building word-class solutions to solve the needs of AWS Cloud users.”
