Alert Logic, a US-based provider of security-as-a-service solutions for cloud hosting environments, has announced its international expansion into EMEA. The company has selected Cardiff City for its new UK hub, which will include a data center and Security Operations Center.
Alert logic achieved 35% year-over-year revenue growth in Q1 2014, with annualized revenue under contract in the month of March 2014 exceeding $56 million. With their expansion into EMEA, the company will address growing demand for security and compliance solutions from customers in Europe.
Alert Logic is currently developing its UK-based data center to provide local support for EMEA customers. Construction is also underway for the first Alert Logic UK Security Operations Center, which will include 24×7 security monitoring to address any threats that may arise.
Alert Logic will continue its investment in the new UK office by building out the sales, marketing and support teams to engage directly with customers in the UK. Recent hires include industry veteran David Howorth, Vice President Sales EMEA. Prior to joining Alert Logic, Howorth held various positions in Sales and Management at Verizon as well as other technology companies.

In order to expedite the launch of Alert Logic’s Cardiff headquarters, the Cardiff Business Council has awarded Alert Logic a developmental grant. This will be used in the creation of new jobs and the new data center, as well as further training programs.
